I started working on a new business on October 18, 2025. I have been an affiliate marketer for a decade, and I have a lot of experience in that field. So my first product will be for marketers, and it will be called Proferex.
StartupBolt is the first product I ever shipped as a software business. Right now, I like to imagine StartupBolt as the machine that powers Proferex.
This means StartupBolt and Proferex will improve hand in hand. I think these are the only two products that I will work on, as focus is key.
I have many other business ideas, but I will just focus on these two.
I am inspired by how Elon Musk launched Grokipedia. He named it v0.1, and it’s amazing - but nothing compared to what it will eventually be. But he shipped it.
I want to reach $10,000 per month on March 31, 2026, with Proferex. Today is October 30, 2025, so it is Day 13 of 164 days to reach my target.
I have been fiddling with a tracker concept for a while now. I use it to power my affiliate marketing campaigns. I will expand that product as the v0.1 version of my app. My goal will be to start selling this at v0.1, but reach v1.0 by the end of February 2026. This is because I don’t plan to market my product on X; I plan to market my product at conferences—not by having a large, expensive booth (which I hope to have one day), but by talking to people at the conference. I call this type of development Conference-Focused Development, where each conference will iterate the product to the next level.
These conferences are expensive. The one I plan to attend is Affiliate World Dubai 2026. The ticket costs $1,000, and the flight and stay, etc., will easily cost me $5,000+. So I have to make it worth it.
The v0.1 of my app will be a tracker with a lander attached, with cost tracking. The idea of attaching a lander is to have a page builder in the future, but for now I will make it possible to use external HTML and React-based landing pages. It will be really cool. Once I reach that, I will launch v0.1. Hopefully this will be before the end of November.
v0.2 will have a page builder and a lead-capture module and a CRM.
v0.3 will have templates for the pages that are built.
From v0.4, we will add support for Push, SMS, Email, and Payments.
I hope I will be able to reach v1.0 before the conference. I’m hoping to close people I meet there and hence achieve my target of $10,000 a month by the end of March 2026. To build momentum before that, I hope to reach maybe $1,000 a month or so by selling Proferex to my inner circle and their leads.
I will be updating soon about progress with this—hopefully in a few days, maybe a week. I’m hoping to have a few more people doing the same thing as me: launching apps in public and having deadlines similar to mine.
